Yanmar micro-Cogeneration Solutions
Yanmar’s Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems uses an internal combustion engine, powered by clean natural gas or renewable natural gas, to produce both heat and electric power. Because of this high-powered energy collaboration, energy costs are reduced by 20-50%.
When thinking about heat and power for any facility, traditionally two important, but separate, systems come to mind, one for hot water and one for electricity. Yanmar’s Combined Heat and Power (CHP) series revolutionizes this by combining two independent functions into one comprehensive system. Yanmar’s CHP systems generate heat with on or off-grid electricity as a by-product of this process. When compared to using hot water boilers in conjunction with conventional power from the grid, Yanmar’s environmentally friendly system is over 50% more efficient. Whether you are replacing a current HVAC system or supplementing an established configuration to take advantage of the many benefits of CHP, Yanmar’s CHP systems provides significant cost savings, over its lifecycle.

Why Yanmar micro-CHP?
Onsite Power Generation:
Electricity is generated close to the point of use, helping to avoid transmission and distribution losses that occur when electricity travels over power lines. Electricity can also be available even when the grid has failed due to extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, power outages or other factors. In addition, any excess energy produced may be stored or shared with any local net metering program
Waste Heat Recovery:
Thermal energy from space heating, domestic hot water heating, pool/spa heating dehumidification or other process applications, continues to go unused in centralized power plants as waste. But, with a Yanmar CHP system, the waste heat recovered from the power generation of electricity, is used to offset boiler or other heating usage.

Simple integration:
All Yanmar CHP systems can be easily integrated into various electrical and thermal systems in residential or commercial applications. This applies to both new construction and retrofitting into existing buildings or other facilities. Yanmar CHP systems also work collaboratively with solar products to provide higher efficiency total energy solutions

Yanmar - Proven ReliabilityAward winning, proven reliability, best in class recognition for maximum efficiency and low emissions. Powered by clean, natural gas or low-carbon fuels such as renewable natural gas or biomass.
|
Yanmar - Intuitive ControlAdvanced System Controller delivers energy balance by constantly monitoring power demand and controlling the CHP system output to achieve the optimum balance between power demand and CHP power output.
|
Yanmar - Eviromentally FriendlyBy using energy efficiently, your carbon footprint can be reduced by as much as 50% over conventional means. According to U.S. EPA CHP Partnership calculations, a YANMAR 10kW CHP system can reduce enough greenhouse gases to offset the carbon footprint of seven cars on U.S. roads. When powered by low-carbon fuels such as biomass or renewable natural gas, net-zero targets can easily be achieved

Yanmar - Reliability & Durability
Yanmar controls the quality of their systems from start to finish. Their systems rely on their own high-efficiency Yanmar engines, which are known worldwide for their reliability. Their built-in inverter also provides a higher quality electrical output than synchronous generators. This long-term durability means less service requirements and reduced labour costs over the life of the CHP units

Yanmar - EV ChargingSmart charging is a critical component to any electrification strategy. As more and more electric vehicles enter our communities, the demand for power increases.
|
Yanmar - Energy ResilientThe global climate is changing, Yanmar CHP’s help to reduce emissions and build up resiliency in the on-site generation of electricity, while providing optimum heating and cooling, incorporating mixed renewables that meet the total demand loads, even in the toughest conditions (extreme weather, power outages, summer brownouts, natural disasters, etc.)

Yanmar MicroGrid IntegrationMicrogrids are evolving and playing a growing role in the evolution of the traditional energy system. While microgrids are usually deployed in remote communities or large facilities (universities, hospitals, etc.) to help meet their energy loads they also provide energy independence and resiliency – typically at a much lower costs and at greater efficiencies

Yanmar Biomass CogenerationClean and predictable energy, Yanmar’s micro-Cogeneration Biomass series includes a 25kW electrical output model for biogas of different methane concentrations. Using these units in multi-unit installations, the number of units in operation can be controlled according to the availability of biogas to maintain high total efficiency.

Yanmar - CHP & District EnergyThe reliability of the electric grid, the ability to get power where and when needed, depends on the grid ensuring that sufficient generation resources are available to meet demand. As intermittent resources such as solar and wind are added to the grid, utilities will have to balance these resources with those that can provide a consistent source of power. Yanmar micro CHP systems run continuously and generate a consistent source of power and thermal energy - ideal for an district energy solution!
